Since I bought my mini one diesel the stop/ start has never worked . I have replaced the battery with a AGM battery. Still not working.Bought a diagnostic tool which diagnosed a faulty boost pressure sensor on the brake servo. Cleared fault. However stop/ start still not working. This was not a genuine BMW part. Should I replace sensor with genuine one as stop/ start still not working

I would stop speculating and get it booked into an authorised main dealer or reliable indy. Unless you are an expert you could just be wating your time and money.

Don't know if it's the same as on my BMW 320D, but has a previous owner coded the stop-start to default to off?
Does it work if you engage the stop-start yourself? I'd read that some people disabled it as it 'allegedly' accelerated timing chain wear/failure!?!?!? If someone's used Bimmercode, then depending on the model/generation, you'd get coding options something like this... ![]() Edited by Tony - 25 Oct 2024 at 5:08pm |

Hi , Thanks. Yes I will look into it as there seems no reason for it NOT to work. I did get loads of paperwork & invoices with it , it have a full bmw service history, However the previous owner could of had it disabled.
