Hi everyone.

This is just a short introduction, I’m Dan and I’ve worked for Adrian Flux Insurance for over 30 years.

If any of you on here have any general insurance queries or specific problems with Adrian Flux insurance please let me know. I have handpicked a small but dedicated team of staff who with me will try and assist you wherever possible. I can assure you we will be completely impartial despite being on the payroll of Adrian Flux. If we have messed-up we will acknowledge that and make efforts to get it corrected. If any of you do not understand an insurer’s viewpoint we will do our best to clearly explain it.

It could be problems ranging from simple paperwork issues to major claim disputes. With our many years of experience we should be able to answer most queries immediately. If there were issues or a problem that we can’t answer directly we would ensure that a relevant manager investigates these and we would then be able to relay an answer back.

I hope this will be of some help for you.

On behalf of myself and my team, thanks very much.

Dan.

Hi Dan,

Are you still at Adrian Flux and willing to discuss insurance for a 24 year old on a 3l 3-series?

I just got a quote from AF on the phone & using my 15% discount as being a member of Motorsport UK the price is still a lot higher than I was hoping for.

Kind regards,

Will

I was with Adrian Flux on my previous car and they were very competitive. It was written off in an accident and although everything was dealt with, at times it was a bit of a faff, as AF don’t deal with you once they’ve taken your money. You get passed to a different company that handle the claim and then solicitors that work for another company that deal with injuries etc. a bit disjointed and a lot of effort on my part to get things sorted.

I contacted them when I bought my new X3 and they were pretty much the most expensive quote I got. Sales guy on the phone told me that statistically BMW owners are more likely to claim in the first year of owning a new car so that’s why they weren’t competitive. Told me to call back the following year for a better quote.

I did that this year and again they were the most expensive. This years excuse was they aren’t competitive on cars with a price of over £30k. Call back next year.

I don’t think I’ll bother with next years excuse.

BMW owners are more likely to claim in the first year of owning? Wow, is that really a fact. I owned new E30, E39, E60 x 2, E92 never claimed in first year and never had accident that was my fault. Only one claim ever when someone had reversed into my car whilst it was parked at the Airport.

I have had my current E65 Alpina 11 years only a windscreen claim and an E39 for 7 years and never made a claim.

I must be lucky, careful or something else but surprised by the First year claim.

100% that is what the guy from AF told me! Whether it’s true or not I don’t know but that’s what he said.

Yes, sorry I was not doubting that's what he said, was just very surprised at the claim he made.
