Hope this isn't a silly question but what is a group buy?

It's when a discount is offered if a certain minimum number of buyer participate in buying the same product.

e.g. 10% off carbon e46 bonnets if we have 10 orders, or 15% off for more than 10 orders.

I am not certain that 10 members for example in the BMWCCGB Club would all have the need for the same product at the same time? The membership is split in regional areas and registers. Therefore, your business would be in the SE region and one assume relates to M cars, but not exclusively?

Some BMW dealers have had an open day for M Powered cars to give the owners confidence that their car is being treated with the TLC they deserve. The problem with many main dealers is they prefer to deal with easy cars, ie new, contract vehicles and those which are leased. In those cases most of the owners just drive the vehicle and if something is not right they take it back. In my view offerings have to be above reproach before that confidence is obtained.

We do not just cater for the newer cars nor specifically for M Cars, we also cater for the Non-M Cars and older models as well to some extent.

It really does depend on what people would like. We are also not just limited to to the SE Region of the country as we offer postage on the majority of products.

We have heard of BMW dealers offering open days, but this is usually to their newer clientele that they can potentially tap up for lease-hire agreements, contractual hire or simply moving on to a newer model.

We used to hold an exclusive event called "Bimmers & Burgers" on a Sunday here at our shop, however due to a growth in the business and also the chap that run the event leaving, it was put down the priority list.

We are however looking at re-introducing this but we have no set date as of yet.

Chandlers recently did an event M day for club members, if you get the club mag I think you may find something about it in there. It was well received, there was no hard sales pitch, indeed from what I understand it was run by the technicians and not sales staff.

I know many people are seriously worried about where they take their cars and so they need confidence that whoever the garage is, will do a good job, I am sure you would agree. If you decide to have an open day I am sure it will be of interest to members. I don't have a M, but I would come along. There is one in two weeks at Ripley which members are attending.

Are you coming to Silverstone Classic? Do you have a car you could display on the Club stand? Might be worth thinking about?

No problem we go all over the country, the regional areas have no restrictions and members can go anywhere. Just got back from Sherborne Dorset for the concours.
