Just a quick 'thank you' to Nick and the team for another excellent track day.

Oulton was wet & greasy all day, but it didn't stop me doing over 200 track miles.

No red flags, and only a couple of yellows meant the day flowed really well.

Looking forward to next season already.

On another subject, Nick, is there any opportunity (especially on these wet & great days) to have a play on the low-grip/rally circuit?

Just like to add my thanks also to Nick, Steve H and the rest of the team and to those who took part ;)
We had a great day in the 'Red Flash' (Westfield Megablade).  It was our first time with the BMW club; hopefully at some point will venture out in the M3!
As Tony has pointed out it was extremely slippery, the track only starting to dry out (racing line) at little by 14.30 although by 15.30 the heavens opened again, which meant our day drew to a close.

Looking forward to joining you folks again in 2016
Cheers
Paul

Many thanks to Nick and his team and of course all other drivers on the day which meant the day passed without any untoward events.

The rain always adds to the fun IMO.

it sure does, especially when running on cold track rubber LOL

the day was only blighted by the drive back home on the m6 (oh, and the total lack of pad materialLOL)

I was on road rubber (still didn't get much heat into them), so it made a nice change being able to overtake the track cars rather than the, buzzing all over me Wink

I decided to put new pads on all round, as my last event at Oulton saw a half-worn NSF RS29 pad fly off braking down from Hilltop into Hizzy's.

Has he got any of me?

Silver MINI John Cooper Works

As much as I tried doing a selfie from inside the car whilst lapping was a little difficult!

My vote of thanks also to Nick for organising another season of track days for us.

I have stitched together a video.  It could do with editing down further but that takes time, particularly on a creaking old mac that keeps freezing!  It includes snippets of Tony's Cayman, the GLA 45, the Hartge E91, a black E36 M3 and black E30 M3 in the rain and finally the 2CV City E36 M3.  Sorry it is a bit long!

Great video.

I apologise if I was holding you up in the black E30 M3.

Not at all Steve - I edited out the two laps it took me to gradually catch you up and once in range I was enjoying the view and soundtrack!  The latter comes across very well on your HD video (the sound and image clarity from my VBox leave something to be desired).

For anyone else intersted in viewing my clips - it is worth selecting 480 resolution via the cog icon.  VBox output is fuzzy enough without Youtube downgrading it to 360 resolution!

A vid from me, seems when the dry line appeared we were all out :)

The time is 1hr out (forgot to change it) and unfortunately no sound with this one a job for the dark winter months.

Thanks Daniel, the dry line was great for the little time it lasted, I think I need a few more horses to get me out of the corners!

This is a great vidéo!
Helps a lot at least novice track drivers (like myself...Confused ) to look where to go on the track. Thanks

Very educational vidéo. Thank you!

It showed to me at least what happens when there are many cars in front and behind and when the emotion kicks in (Oh I need to pass this one, no I can't let this one pass me). Also where do we go.... the car in front hides the bend, the line.... at least again to my untrained eye...

Btw, who's in the yellow E36 that passed everybody? And in the white E91 Touring?

Marie-Noëlle,

Glad you enjoyed it.  I was lucky it was so quiet.
