During the recent bad weather, I seem to have lost the front near side headlight washer cover and the top of the washer nozzle off my E70 X5. Now reading a number of online forums this seems to be a common occurrence and when I spoke to Cotswolds to get a quote for the parts, I was quoted £132.53 for the parts, because the cover isn't painted, so I needed to spray can at £26.71 as well!
This looks to be rather expensive way to repair the car, when it all looks to be a couple of moulded pieces of plastic? I've looked on Ebay and the cover and nozzle are available, but I just wondered what the quality was like of these from China? I fear I know the answer to that already, but just wondered if any one else has had experienced this issue and how they resolved with it?

Cover - £28.12, Nozzle - £77.69, Paint Spray - £26.71

Total: £132.52

Hi Phil
sorry to hear of your problem,i personally wouldn't want to use a spray can on a visible part & especially being plastic because if not prepared properly could eventually come off.
I ordered a set of trim removal tools from ebay that came from china & the quality was good,i know it's not car parts, but you could try quarry motors they are a bmw specialist for new & used parts.
