Ever wondered what extras were fitted to your BMW when it was new?  BMW make the information available through their main website.

This worked for both my Z3 and Z4.  Should work for any UK BMW too!) and all you need is the last 7 digits of your VIN number.

1>  Click http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/homepage/
2>  From the BMW Owner Area menu, choose Genuine BMW Parts
3>  From the menu on the left had side of the page click Parts Catalogue
4>  From the lower part of the screen click Electronic parts catalogue. Find genuine spare parts and accessories for your BMW.
5>  Use the username eu111111 and the password bmwetk1
6>  Enter the last 7 digits of you VIN number and click >>
7>  From the top of the next window, click Options.  This displays a new window with the information on extras.

The list given matches the dealer printout when came with the Z4.  It also matches the Z3 which had no options added when purchased.

There is an easier way than this!

Shows all of the original options/colours etc for your car (only the last 7 digits of the chassis number are required)

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...

A useful tool!

When I searched with my chassis number the chassis number that appears on the spec sheet is different?

Any ideas why?  I also don't think it is my spec sheet.  A search for CB56401 reveals nothing
