hi guys, the glovebox lamp in my e30 doesnt seem to be charging properly.when i switch it on there is a very faint little glow from the bulb.im wondering is this a problem with the torch or the car.does the torch have only so many charges in it,its 21 years old or could it be that not enough power is getting to it from the car.can they be checked with a multimeter?.will a new torch be the answer or will i end up with the same problem.by the way,new torches are available from the main dealer,e30 list shows up ended but its the same torch in an e34 and they can be ordered, not sure of price.thanks alanc.

Hi, if you open the torch, chances are there's a lot of corrosion and acid around the terminal/battery. They usually go green after a while, just clean it up and it should last a while longer.

Think about what you can do for the club, not what it can do for you...
