Good evening
I’m thinking about winter storage for my E46 Coupe. Does anyone have recommendations for outdoor winter covers? I’d like to get a good one without spending a fortune, many I’ve seen are £100+! Thanks in advance. |

I used an out door cover for 2 years on a 7 series. I bought the cover from BMW to make sure it was a good fit, I think it was about 140 pounds. I had no choice as I had to leave the car outside at the time.
It was very good keeping bird lime and other mess off the car, I was not using the car everyday so was less of a pain than some who may have to. It was important to remove the cover when the weather was dry and wipe off any excess moisture or condensation. I made sure the car had been waxed and polished and would apply more even when not in use. The larger the car the more chance of wind getting under the cover an flapping around this can cause paint discolouration, so try and get either big straps and put the around the car or weights which you may be able to attach. None of this is perfect, but the better quality the cover the less issues, I would not go for the Halfords cheap ones for example. |
