New Venue
Yorkshire Area BMW Night Monthly Meet No.161
Tuesday 25th September 2018. 7pm to closing time. The Percy Arms High Street Airmyn Goole East Yorks. DN14 8LD. (2 minutes from the M62 J36). Welcome to our new club night home. The 'Percy' is a lovely old pub with a huge car park. Very easy to find and really handy for the motorway. We will be kicking off the our first meet here with a bit of a 'car park concours' with spot prizes courtesy of Autoglym UK. There will be the usual beer and banter, and great food if you want to eat there. This is always a good night out and of course everyone is welcome. See you there. Nick Airmyn is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated at the mouth of the River Aire with the River Ouse, approximately 2 miles north-west of Goole. It lies to the west of the M62 motorway and the A614 road.Wikipedia Edited by Nick Wright - 29 Jun 2018 at 11:10am |

It is with great sadness that I announce the forthcoming closure of The Barnes Wallis Inn, home of our monthly Club Night.
Our last meet there will be on Tuesday 28th August 2018. 15 years ago Stu Bayliss had the idea of starting a meet for BMWCC members in our local area. Backed by Howard Walker who was in the Regional Chair at the time. Stu chose the BW as it was under new ownership and was getting good reviews. We loved it so much we have been returning on the last Tuesday of the month ever since. Kieron and Kirsty Lockwood have been our hosts from the start but now has come the time for them to retire from the kitchen, close the bar and convert the old pub into a lovely home. At the time of writing this we still have three remaining monthly meets. Please try and get to one of them and I will explain what our plans are going forward to a new venue. In the meantime there is still time to enjoy the delights of this splendid Yorkshire pub. You won’t find another one quite like The Barnes Wallis Inn |

Eastern Region – New pub meet Tuesday 25th September. On Tuesday the 25th September, the first pub meet at our new venue, The Percy Arms, High Street, Airmyn, Goole, East Yorkshire, DN14 8LD will be held. I called there to check out what they would like us to do and was asked to give an estimate of numbers which is rather difficult as it’s the first meeting. To help me out with this, could all members who are intending to attend this meeting, please text the numbers in your party to me at 07474 272 656, or email me at howard635walker@gmail.com as soon as possible. To avoid replication, can you please ensure that if you are in a group, only one of you sends me notification. Latest time for texts or emails to be of use will be 4:30 pm on Tuesday. If you are unable to advise me in time, come along anyway, but you may not get a place with the group. When arriving, enter via the car park door, and when you get inside, make a U turn to your right. Our tables will be at the end of the conservatory. Food is served all night up until around 8 pm. We are expected any time between 6:00 and then. Apologies for the short notice. The food was great by the way. Best wishes Howard Walker Edited by Howard - 22 Sep 2018 at 1:35pm |
