At the end of last year the near side "Angel Eyes" on my 2007 520D sport went out. I purchased a new lamp at the BMW main dealer and fitted it. All went well.
This week, the same set of "Eyes" stopped working. Again, I purchased a new lamp at the BMW main dealer and fitted it. All went well.
About an hour later I was about to go out and when I turned on the ignition, a message on the dashboard told me that there was "the nearside parking light was not working".
I got out of the car to check and NEITHER Angel Eyes were working, nearside or offside.
I checked the "old" lamp that I had taken from the nearside and found that the continuity was OK, so there had been no reason to change it in the first place. I had therefore wasted £30+ per lamp, twice assuming that the original change last year was not required.
I now have no angel eyes working and don't know why. There is not a separate fuse for them so what is wrong.
Any ideas please??? Thank you

I have today been to my BMW Main Dealer and found out that there is one module that controls BOTH angel Eyes and that EACH angel eye have their own control unit. There is no real way to tell which of these three items is faulty without replacing them one at a time.

Help please, do you know where they are all located (Maybe under the bonnet somewhere)?????

Hi krose.
You could try www.realoem.com & type in the last 7 digits of cars chassis number & look under lighting , electrics sections this may give you an idea of where they are located in respect to under the bonnet or inside the car. One of the control units / modules they mentioned would possibly be the LCM of which is the main unit for switching on the lights.
If the modules / control units don't have their own fuse(s) the way you could test for a fault or short circuit is maybe with a multi-meter. Hopefully it is just a loose or dirty connection.
At least you have spare bulbs for future use if needed, so not wasted money.

Regards
Rich
