Is anyone interested in going to the French Zed rallie this year?
It will be held over the weekend of August 29/30 in our backyard, so to speak, in the Rocamadour - Gourdon - Cahors area. This is about 550 miles from Calais - a good day's run of about ten hours.
I can reccommend a couple of different routes and hotels if anyone is interested.
If you are interested, contact Frederic, the Président of the Club BMW E21/E30 France:
f.brossaud@bmw-e21e30.fr Bookings will be required in about another month. This year's gathering will be visiting an interesting castle, the inevitable foi gras factory on Saturday, and the gorges of the river Lot on Sunday morning, with a memorable lunch and evening meal on the Saturday.
We were impressed by the standard of organisation last year, and will be going again this year.
See you there? Edited by Mike Fishwick - 20 Apr 2009 at 7:22pm |

Anyone attending the Zed Rallie, and who plans to travel on the A20 past Chateauroux would be well advised to avoid the area like le plague!
This (normally) 15 minute run took me two and a half hours recently, as major road works are in hand, with a contraflow system, and will probably last untilthe end of the summer.
The French are obvioulsy learing from the Brits!
