I have a 2018 335d xdrive touring. When I first bought the car the drivers seat (being electric) used to move back automatically on opening the drivers door to exit the vehicle and then moving back to the driving position on entering. After trying a number of times to choose a suitable seat position and pressing the memory button each time the seat now fails to move when exiting or entering. Does the seat need resetting, if so how do you do it. ?

Hi
I have a 2014 335d xdrive with memory drivers seat, i have owned the car for 2 years now but have never noticed if the drivers seat moves on locking/unlocking or when you open drivers door. I have noticed within idrive there is profile settings, not sure if this as anything to do with the seat/exterior mirror settings & this is when you have x number of drivers. I am the only driver of my car,so have never noticed a problem. All I can say is maybe try a reset of seat & mirrors & store into memory 1 & then see what happens. Rich

Hi
Each remote key stores different settings when used for e.g radio stations,seat & exterior mirror settings etc.hence the profile settings as i mentioned above in my earlier post & because i am the only person to drive my car & i only use one remote key. Also the drivers seat position will only move automatically if it is set under 1 “settings” 2 “doors/key” 3 “last seat position autom” Hope this helps you a bit more Rich
