When I look at who is using the forum I regularly see that we have Guests, I thought it would be good to let them know how they can join the club, I'll leave this announcement on all forums for a little while to see what response we get.

To join, please look at the web site here: https://bmwcarclubgb.uk/join/

or contact the office directly, details here: https://bmwcarclubgb.uk/contact/

Thanks,
Darren.

Why would I wish to join This club?.

I would want to look at every subject that displays the Interests that I can relate to and have posted in my club CV?, and can find enjoyable--and perhaps influence in the future if I joined--Plus the £££££ss I want to save.Big smile

The feedback I get from The Club on various interests--Not always of a motoring theme--Emailed so I dont have to spend time sorting out woffle!!!Wink

John,
I had posted this up by way of letting people know HOW rather than WHY, however, the easiest thing to to is to visit the clubs website here:

Or the blog:

or Twitter, Facebook, flickr, YouTube.......

Take a look at some example pages from the club magazine "Straight Six": http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/bmw-club-magazine.php

Plus discounts on many items including BMW main dealer parts.....too many benefits to mention, the question is why wouldn't you join (and that is a serious question by the way...)?

Cheers,
Darren.

As Club Members surely it is our duty to spread the word to all Bmw car owners and to encourage them to join a Super Friendly Car Club, Because the more people join the Club then the stronger Financially the Club will be enabling the Chairman and the Board of Directors and the General Manager to put on more Events for all of us to enjoy.

I hate to tell you this, but you cannot access the "How to join the club" section unless your already registered and logged in.

Sort of becomes pointless unless a non member can have a look.

Thanks for highlighting the problem - I've changed it's permission, so should be accessible.

Wood - why are you so pessimistic?  Just because the Chairman has resigned does not bring the the Club to its knees - no-one became so hysterical when Jeff Heywood resigned, even though in his eleven years he had done a lot of good.

The Club is bigger than any single person, and will continue, in spite of the pessimists amongst us.  No-one is indispensible.

Shocked.
As I am  the Director responsible or Membership, I need to reply to your very negative suggestion, So on the basis of your argument that Members should leave  on mass from the Car Club and what  would be the benefit of what you suggest Question It would be  a considerable loss of income to the Club which would then mean the Club would have to dip into its reserves to continue  to run the Club & would not be able to --

Fund the Fantastic Shows for all Members to enjoy like Gaydon/Silverstone/NEC Classic/Autosport/ Track Days  plus many of the Major Regional Events for all the Members to continue to enjoy.

I would suggest that we all should be Recommending BMW Car owners to join this Great Club and see its Continued Growth Not its Decline as you suggest Thumbs Down.

As Mike Fishwick Thumbs Up has stated No Member is Bigger than the Club and life will go on irrespective of what you feel.

So Please all members give your full support to encourage New Members to join this Car Club which I and Many Many other Members are Proud to be Associated with.Handshake

Mike, not so much pessimistic as dissalusioned.
I wasnt hysterical when the last chairman left, but I was hysterical with laughter at the thought of our club chairman throwing a hissy fit about the location of a tent.( Must remember that one next time I go camping and cant get a good pitch)
As you say though, the club is bigger than any single person, and will continue.

Hello everyone, I joined the BMW Car Club recently and see on the forum all the different registers and wanted to ask how to join those I am interested in, which would be the convertible and M power registers.  I drive an E36 EVO M3 in boston green metallic, which at the moment is with an independent specialist being assessed for some work that needs doing, I live in Yarm, north Yorkshire, and look forward to meeting people from the local group and the registers

Paul, you can join in anything that is going within the club anywhere. Check the mag and the forum (here) for any specific meets, check the club web site. Look for you regional chairperson and give them a call or email, details in your mag.

If you want to know anything about the Club you can ring me 07831 142 401 or 01403 268723 anytime day or evening or weekend up to 11pm, regards Norrie.

Hi Paul,
The nearest local meets for the Yarm area are at the Barnes Wallace Inn at Howden on the last Tuesday of the month for your local region, Eastern  or the North East Regional meet on the First Wednesday of the month at 19:30 at The Dun Cow, Primrose Hill, Bournmoor, Chester-le-Street, DH4 6DY.
Both meetings have lots of support and a good location with great food. I will be at the Howden meet on Tuesday (tomorrow) from about 7:15pm.
Find more info on the regions at the club website on http://bmwcarclubgb.uk/regions

I met up with a few of the scottish members after buying a Z4 - went along to a couple of meets and then joined the club. Good guys and being a member has had its pluses - two rear alloys bought through eastern got a discount with my membership card and this more than paid for my membership fees.

Paul, I hope that you enjoyed yourself at the Barnes Wallace the other evening. It looked like you managed to find out what you needed to know from our resident expert Nigel and his group of teckies. Hope to meet you again in November
