Dont let everyone know about the 7's; they will all want one !
So much value for so low cost (even cheaper than most 5's)
For info on the E38's, the best forum is "the7seriesregister.co.uk"
On this forum are links to all that is needed to know about 7's for buying; servicing; repairs; modifying.
If you search "lowering" it will link to all previous discussions and recommendations.
Why not bring your 740 along to Duxford on May 2nd, where i am expecting 30+ 7's to be there (mostly E38's)
You vastly outnumber my cars - i only have 7 BMW's, but, 5 of them have variants of the 4lt V8, from 4.0lt to 4.6lt. Just enjoy the power when wanted, with the luxury.
Drive a BMW and you will have a smile on your face every time (and- drive twice as far as you need to !!)

next was the suspension as 1 of the springs had snapped and i wanted coilovers but could not find a cheap set at all and had to get spax (big thanks to automac) to make a set height and shock adjustable as all the rest were from £1200 to £1900  :o

all round coilovers were fitted with brand new top mounts as well
