I have recently acquired a 1995 E36 328i Coupe Auto, and I am wanting to confirm its specification. Using a few usually reliable VIN decoders, I have ascertained that my car has a factory LSD & M Sport Suspension, yet it isn't listed as a sport model nor an SE, and its bumpers & skirts are totally standard from a non sport model - apart from the rear boot spoiler which is genuine BMW Heckspoiler in body colour. It also has standard Dove Grey Soft leather seats, not sport. Its registration date is October 1995 (N). Is the same as the Sport model apart from the bodykit and seats? I am very confused! Many thanks to anyone that can help!

From a factory perspective, an M Sport etc doesn't exist. It is just an E36 with a package of options fitted that then gets marketed as an M Sport.
It sounds like the original purchaser of your car ordered a fairly basic model and then added various options they liked to the order, rather than some package deal.
Darkness gone, Tronic gone, Solo gone, DBA going, go Darknes2, go Frozen, go Black Pearl, go The Vibrator

The 328i Sport wasn't an M Sport as such....just Sport.

All Coupes had M Technic Sport suspension as standard but the 328i Sport had 'Avus' suspension with yellow Bilstein dampers.

328i Sports had a standard LSD until ASC was standardised for 1996.
