I've a 1998 323 convertible, the aircon wasn't doing much so I had it re-gassed. That worked fine for a day or so until the high pressure pipe gave out. I think the return to full pressure was too much for it.

The mechanic I use is concerned that we'll need a new condenser too as it looks like time has welded the pipe onto it.

I'd appreciate advice as to where to get the parts from, there's plenty of choice out there, genuine BMW seems to be N times the price of everything else... any experience of brands to either trust or avoid?
