Chaps,

My wifes E36 318ti Compact has a digital clock and you can only read the time with the lights on, i.e. when you pull the light switch.

I replaced it with another from ebay but that does the same so I've either bought a duff replacement (was told it was working properly) or there is a wiring issue.

Any help welcome.

Different scenario, but I had an issue involving two fuses. Frustrating at the time, but quite a relief when you eventually find out that's all that was wrong.
