In 2020 ALPINA owners will have a choice if they wish to display infield at the Silverstone Classic. Members have the opportunity to use the BMW Car clubs discounted code and display.

However, due to a 78% result of a poll of ALPINA owners there is a separate stand for ALPINA and details can be found via thealpinaregister.com with the individual ALPINA ONLY code.

There is no financial advantage for discount between either the Club or ALPINA only stand, they are exactly the same for all car clubs.

I am unsure, who, if anyone, would be looking after the ALPINA on the BMW Club section as the register captain and his normal helpers will all be on the separate stand.

Parking separately does not invalidate your BMW Club membership and you are entitled to all the benefits the same as any other member, including visiting the stand.

There are 11 cars booked and paid for all ready for the ALPINA stand, we only had 14 last year in total. I think that demonstrates intent. I also know of 2 more who are going to book, just waiting for hotel prices to become published. I found an Holiday Inn which was over 50 pounds per night cheaper than the one at Collingtree Northampton in 2019.

This is not a competition with the Club, but as a direct result of the wishes of ALPINA owners, many are not BMWCCGB members, that is a challenge for the Club and not for others to encourage or discourage either way.

Well despite the lack of interest here ( probably why we struck out on our own), it is going very well. Thanks to those who have already committed and bought tickets.

The original post was not very welcoming, so I'm not surprised at the lack of response.

What are you chatting about not very welcoming, it was factual. For your information I have a Social Medial group of registered ALPINA owners, who have given car details, model, reg etc which amounts to 800 current in Europe of which over 200 are in the UK. In the NE region of the UK there are around 4 people who have registered in that Group. I am in touch with them personally.

I would further point out, if you bother to look through all the ALPINA event posts on this forum the response has been to put it mildy poor. Therefore, explain to me please why it is I can start a social media group and 800 registered owners join it if it was not welcoming. However, if you have an ALPINA and wish to join other owners you will get a warm welcome as did the 40 plus who I got to come to Gaydon in 2019. Indeed the ALPINA group by brand type was the largest group at Gaydon, the number only exceed by M Power, which there are many more candidates.

Oh it appears, the original Yawn post has been removed? Anyway not important. not sure the poster even has an ALPINA, leaves wondering why he/she commented in the first place? The post was purely for reference, full details are found on thealpinaregister.com and the relevant discount code appears there. Owners do have to register their details to join the register forum. I do not control the forum that is administered by Mr Charles Lovibond and Neil Whitehead.

The moderators of the FB Group Genuine ALPINA owners are Simon Alcorn, Bernhard Kroenung, Manfred Eckweiler, Oisten Samuelsen and Chris Tranter. Two from UK, Two from Germany, One for Sweden and one from Luxembourg.
