Can anyone advise me on how to reset the yellow warning triangle and also the warning panel at the top of the windscreen.my car is fitted with the 15 pin diagnostic...warning panel shows Coolant.Brake lights. All levels are fine and all brake lights are working.so my thoughts are some sort of reset

Thanks

Your car will be an E30. The Check Control panel above the windscreen is very old fashioned and pretty much analogue (and therefore very cool). There is no software etc to reset. If it is showing a light it means either there is something genuinely wrong, or a sensor is playing up (I had that with the coolant level sensor once), or there is a wiring fault.
For the brake sensor light, try pressing the check button whilst pressing the brake pedal - the system needs it to check the brake bulbs.
The dashboard is similar - false warning lights are usually a sensor or a wiring fault. Mine flickers the brake wear warning light due to a wiring break somewhere. The dashboard can also do all kinds of weird stuff due to poor earths, or the rechargeable batteries on the service interval board getting old, leaking and damaging circuits.
