I had an E60, have you tried resetting via the I drive. I am sure you can go into the screen and reset, then you drive the car a few miles and it will automatically clear. I can do that on my E65.

I cant specifically answer your question about the tyres. I had 2 x E60 and I did not exchange the tyre sizes. They were both run flats in each case on each car.

However, a word of caution, and many have fallen foul of this, if you do change the wheels or tyres sizes to a specification which is different to the manufacturers specified size you need to tell your insurer.

The whole dynamics of the car are based of the size of the wheel and tyre fitted unless the manufacturer has indicated a different size is acceptable.

There was a recent alleged case of a young man who had wheels wider than the originals and crashed, when the insurance assessor looked at the vehicle he claimed this had a serious effect on the handling and the insurer refused to pay out.

yes have already spoken to my insurance company ,the reason i want to go wider on the back is the grip from the 225 size is rubbish my 840 (below 300hp had 265 boots from the factory ) and as the 5 has more power seems strange that factory rubber is 225
