Hi all
After all the work I have done recently on my old faithful E46 323i, I have come to the decision after 12 years ownership to part company. After looking around I decided on this to be my next little project, I have already got a few little jobs already lined up that I spotted that need to be done. Hopefully will pick it up on Tuesday.
My old faithful E46 can be seen & looking dirty.

Thanks nick.
I am really looking forward to getting it & to do the things that are required as & when. A thread will be started.
I hope that whoever takes on my E46 will keep it going like I have been, for a few more years to come. I was surprised when I was sorting out the history receipts for parts & work done to it how much I must have spent keeping it going, but I do also think to myself was it all really worth it. I know it still needs a few more things doing but I wasn't going to spend anymore on it.

Regards rich

From the photo, it looks to be in nice condition.  Inside good too, hopefully.  I'm sure you'll have fun getting up to the level of perfection to which you attain Rich!

I think unless a car is really new, there will always be things that require replacement/refurbishment over the years to keep it looking good and working well.  So what you've spent has probably been a good investment Rich.  That's the way to look at it!

Hi Roger
It is in nice condition inside & out for the year & mileage 42k, yes it does have some age/mileage related marks. I'll post some better pics when I collect it, as that was just a quick pic.
Dealers will only do a certain amount of used car prep to a percentage due to costs etc.

I'm really looking forward to getting the car & can't waitSmile

regards
rich

The parts buying started a couple of weeks ago, but haven't got round to starting my tidying up project as yet. I washed & leathered it on Sunday & did notice a few other little cosmetic bits to do.
Tools bought so far:-
11 piece trim removal tool set.

New parts bought so far:-
Brand new set of alloy wheel centre caps.(bought for E46 but never fitted)
Brand new set of wheel bolts

Thanks Paul. It's only my second BMW & so far I am quite pleased with it.
I was glancing through eBay the other day & came across my old E46 on there for sale.

Ihave found just going to my local BMW parts dept with the vin number and ask them to print the build sheet off works for me.. Maybe some dealers wont do it but Bowker Preston have always been most helpfull.
