Guys and Gals

I was on the West Country Section of the BMW Car Club web site and discovered that the Cornish contingent are somewhat more active that the Devon group and that they have an event on the Sunday 14th July, just two weeks before the Silverstone Classic (unfortunately). The event is at the Royal Cornwall Showground. It is a show type event and they hope to have some 600 plus entires. It does look like a good event and I thought it could be one for Westcountry members to try and get together and see what we want to do locally. I have spoken to James Brewer who is co-ordinating the BMW Car Club entrants all being together and as such he would like any of us that is thinking of making the event to give him a ring or an email so that he can make sure we are all together as a Group. I have suggested that maybe the Zed¹s together within the larger BMW group might be a good idea. (we do not all have to be members I have cleared that with James so that we can grow Westcountry membership by being inclusive)

There is a facility to camp overnight for £7 per night per Tent (provided I have read it right) for those that might like to be there the night before (I am thinking of It) . There are probably reasonably priced hotels or bed and breakfast that might have space but on this occasion I will leave that to individuals to arrange. It is a cheap enough event to book it up and if the weather is rubbish we will not lose much if we pull out.

Entry is free for the driver and one passenger.  Extra Adults are £6 each, and Children under 12 go free. I checked this with James

So that there is no misunderstanding it is a "classic" type event so loads of interesting vehicles BUT as a Club James has been in touch and we are welcome even with modern cars. I have posted on Zroadster.org as well to try and grow the numbers that way.

Details of the show and Conditions of Entry can be found at www.wadebridgewheels.co.uk. NB. Before registering, please contact James Brewer on 07527 490728 or jbrewer_falvalley@hotmail.com for further details and so that we are displayed together. James is very interested in trying to co-ordinate a group response so please contact him first.Hug
