At the end of what has been a bit of a grim old week on the world stage, thought I'd share something that might bring a smile to my fellow 2ers and others, if not a sense of yearning and "yes, please!"-ness! Just in the last month or so have been seeing some firmed up crystal ball gazing about this development.

Seems the M-meisters at Garching are working on a CS or CSL version of the M2 to be released next year. One key challenge seems to be that if they make a fantastic CS or CSL version of the already damn fine M2, then it might turn out better and faster than an M3/ M4, which cost/value wise would be a bit of an own goal. So while it's likely to get the S55 engine from the M3/M4, in the M2 CS/CSL its likely to be dialled down a bit to around 400bhp, and not the full current 431bhp of the revised LCI M3/M4 starting production mid 2017.

Finally, found this little video clip of the new M2 CS/CSL in development at the Nürburgring. You know that moment when you realise you've just gone that wee bit fast into a corner... a close one! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cg5XWCrLfs
I don't suppose they were meant to be testing the car's off-road capabilities.Wink

Have a grand weekend. Cheers.

Peter
