Why did you change the discs?  They looked fine.

I bought the car in Jan & not told by the dealer when they were changed so for piece of mind I bought a new set.

Wow - seems an expensive way to go!  Unless a disc has some form of damage, or excessive wear, where is really no point in replacing them - I generally reckon to get at  least 100,000 miles out of a disc, or two sets of pads, as a minimum life.  I replaced the discs on our Golf TDI - which being very high geared  has very little engine braking - after 115,000 miles, and again at 208,000 miles.  On my Z3 I replaced the discs at 100,000 miles.

No matter what money-hunting garagesmay 'advise' on an MoT certificate, there is no need to replace discs because the pads are being replaced, or because the outer unworn edges have become rusty.

While they are new, a coat of Smootherite on the cetre portion would be a good idea.
