Hi All

After much consideration, I've eventually had the T.V Tuner upgrade to full Digital Freeview. I was a bit sceptical as to how good the picture quality would be but I'm very pleased. Cost about £270 with new antennas. Money well spent I feel and a good upgrade and would recommend it.Smile

I thought about doing this on my previous car, a 645, as the TV tuner was analogue.  So purely just out of interest now, where did they place the 'new antennas' ?

I fitted everything myself, sent the tuner away for the upgrade. The antennas are under the rear headrests. I am however trying to find somewhere even more discrete without affecting the signal. For info, the upgrade also includes DAB radio.

Interesting...  I wondered about how much screening you'd get, but then I spotted that you'd got a 'vert' !  Probably difficult to hide them anywhere else.  Having said that, my 645 had a 'plastic' boot lid, so aerials could be put in there.  As a radio ham, I'd wondered about fitting a VHF/UHF transceiver in the car, and maybe hiding the aerial inside the boot lid.  Then I removed the boot lid lining and discovered a whole load of electronics under there, probably associated with the BMW broadcast radio and TV receiver, and thought better of it!
