Well I may not be a man of wealth and taste, as the song goes, but I thought I'd say hello, as a new club member. When it comes to taste, some might say my 330 is a little on the chromey side, but it keeps me amused!
So, apparently I'm in the Cotswold region, perhaps not geographically, but certainly in terms of BMW dealership nomenclature, I suppose. Anyway, I thought I'd say hello with a photo, so here's my 330... |

Thanks Bowler! This forum's a bit of a ghost-town, isn't it - maybe more sign of life at events...

The South Gloucs show is always very good and just outside Bristol, that might be one you wish to attend, perhaps the Welsh weekend, or is that too close to home. Anyway lots going on.

"a little on the chromey side"
As an E30 chrome bumper lover, I would say your car is a bit short on chrome And a forum is only as good or as bad as the people who use it....

Welcome Tom
I wouldn't say your car is on the "chromey side" too much, it looks great. I have an E46 SE saloon with the factory chrome pack Regards Rich |

Thanks Rich
I really liked the look of the chrome grille against the dark blue when I bought the car, so added a few more shiny bits. The side strips and number plate surround are BMW parts (though the number plate surround took a but of trimming to fit my SE bumper - must have been intended for Sports bumpers). I'm pretty sure the side-strips weren't really intended for dark blue cars either - I don't think I've ever seen another set out on the road, full-stop - not one of the more popular E46 options, I'm guessing. The headlights are FK Automotive, and I think they look great, as they add angel eye type rings too. Sadly, however nice they might look from the outside, the build quality is a pile of junk internally! The angel eyes are wired as DRLs. I thought I'd test the look of the door handles with cheap stick-on chromed covers, before going for the BMW parts, which are much more pricey, and a bigger job to fit, but they seem to have become a permanent fixture (and the set for a four-door means I've got more if they get damaged!), the LHD/RHD kit allows you to effectively de-lock it too, which is nice!
