There are a few meets coming up now due to weather starting to get better. Depending on how far you want to travel. You can go to any meets / shows in any region as long as there is space, because some are limited. Keep an eye on here, events calendar on main website & straight six.
Hope to see you & car at a meet / show soon. Rich Edited by rpennington - 25 Mar 2018 at 8:43pm |

Hi Pat
Welcome to the club! You may be aware that East Anglia Region is broken down into 5 sub-regions, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire and North West Norfolk South Lincolnshire regions, each region having it's own 'area rep' who look after arranging various 'events & meetings' within their areas. The contacts are shown in the Straight Six Magazine - but here are the key names & e/mail addresses: Norfolk : Paul Sharp : bmwccnorfolk@gmail.com Suffolk : David Adams : bmwccsuffolkrep@btinternet.com Essex : John Herman : johnherman.charlie1@virgin.net Cambs/Beds : Matthew Hunt : matthew.hunt13@btinternet.com NW Norfolk Sth Lincs : Aaron Reeve : westnorfolk@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk There is quite a bit going on this year both Nationally & locally but our EA regions notable events are: Norfolk : Bungay Lions Classic car Rally, Earsham Hall - Sunday 6th May Suffolk : Elveden Classic car show - Elveden - Sunday 27th May Norfolk : Norwich Classic Vehicle Club Family day - Strumpshaw Steam Museum - Sunday 3rd June Norfolk : Euston Rural Pastimes - Euston, Thetford - Sunday 10th June Suffolk : Palgrave Journey Through The Ages - Palgrave, Diss - Sunday 17th June Norfolk : RAF Marham Family day - RAF Marham - Thursday 26th July - (Security clearance required) Suffolk : Helmingham Festival of Classic & Sports Cars - Helmingham Hall - Sunday 5th August Cambs/Beds : Little Gransden Air & Classic car show - Little Gransden - Sunday 26th August There are other events being arranged in addition to those listed but the ones above are the 'key' events we've got planned so far. Contact the respective area 'reps' for further info. I would have thought that Matthew is the closest to you in regard of regular meets - he has a monthly coffee & cars gathering at the Bury Lane Farm Shop nr Royston on a Sunday morning, he's just had a meet so contact him for the date of the next one if you want to pop along. We in Norfolk have a monthly meet but we're in the process of changing venue, so I don't know where our regular meetings will be as yet. This month's meet is a 'once yearly curry night' just outside Norwich. Suffolk meets are at The White Horse Stoke Ash near Eye, best to check with John Herman about the Essex monthly meets and Aaron up in NW Norfolk has his as The Sandboy at Bawsey nr Kings Lynn. That just a summary of what you have in EA, if you need any further info on anything that's going on then please don't hesitate in contacting any of the 'reps' Cheers for now - Richard - BMWCC Norfolk (assistant rep)

Did you request they changed the BMW roundels to make the car different or is it something they just do? I sometimes see this on ALPINA cars whereby people have ALPINA roundels fitted, however in the case of ALPINA these are not approved by ALPINA and they only ever fit BMW roundels. (Boot and Bonnet I mean)
Interesting, I do think the car looks great though. Edited by Norrie - 28 Mar 2018 at 8:02am |

Is that what you wanted? ALPINA has their logo on steering wheel, seats, mats, gear stick, never on the bot or bonnet. Yes lets see, you keep it how you want it, I am just curious never come across this name before.
