There is a VC10 Open Day at Dunsfold full details on SE Home Page under events.

Plan is to arrive at 12:15 so we don't miss the Taxi down the runway, there will be a BMW parking area and will likely go for a beer on the way home.

Tickets are available from Brooklands in advance £10, let me know if you plan to attend

hi Ian I take it the VC10 no longer has a CAA airworthy certification? They are just going to roll the engines and taxi down the runway? I have been in one a few times whilst in the RAF.

Dunsfold is only about 6 miles from me, so I think I would like to attend. How many are interested?

They do have the Wheels & Wings later in the year but it always clashes as does the Cranleigh Show with Gaydon.

Ian sorry no, apologies I am at 24 hr racing this weekend. Unfortunately due to many events I have decided to be more selective about attending and avoid duplication. Having been in the RAF when this way in service I think I must have been in one from Brize Norton going god knows where. Thanks and enjoy.

Hi All, well it was a bit wet but worth attending amazing plane 50 years old and still holds the transatlantic record after Concorde. Good tour with people that seen service on the plane in Falklands and Iraq, if you get a chance worth a visit.

I am now pretty sure I went from Brize Norton or Marham to Singapore on one but it is so long ago, it would have been about 1974 or 75, is that right or have I go confused?
